One of them is Welsh Kaolin Clay.
Sourced from a single quarry in the Gwendraeth Valley, this distinctive Welsh mineral became the starting point for something very different.
THE BEGINNING OF WELSHCLAY
In September 2010, Phil Bowen founded WelshClay with a simple idea:
What if a natural mineral from Wales could be developed into products for the modern world?
Rather than looking beyond Wales for inspiration, Phil looked closer to home.
The result was WelshClay — a brand built around the possibilities of Welsh kaolin clay and the belief that natural materials can inspire innovative products.
From skincare and wellness to specialist jewellery care, we continue to explore new ways to use this remarkable Welsh mineral.
